| I am that strange one who travels from Nelson in Lancashire to fish the matches on your amazing waters. First season last year was tough as every time I was fishing it was a new venue and it was for non-commercial natural fish in waters that were never any shallower than 6ft and often 30plus feet. Also another thing to contend with that I do not normally have to on commercial waters is weed. Really struggled with weed. That said fishing against very good anglers in this environment did improve my fishing skills and in winter matches the finesse I had to develop on these Furness waters helped me to be the top rod for my team in Lancashire during last winter and spring.
I am in awe of these splendid waters and look forward to the second season starting on 21 June 2009. |
