my pb, caught on lonsdale lake, 12.5lb mirror 10lb 5oz common ghostie (i was on my own when i caught that one) Lonsdale is a cracking place, I recommend it, and I am hopeing to go back in the spring for when the carp get their heads down and bulk up. I would say it is nearer penrith than carlisle tho and is only an hour and a half away.

yeah i started (again) when i gave up the fags two mays ago, may 08, I use to fish when I was a kid, mainly at ellescales farm on the figure of 8, banana pond, sometimes gill daub. bubbles - rented a cottage back in the first week of july, got the common and then mirror on the same early evening, both on broken up bits of the donkey chogger halibut pellets, the big uns with a hole in, i broke them up using a knife to split them down the hole, put loads of bits and brokemn up boillees in a bag, and a half on a hair, worked a treat that night, my first ever double the ghostie, then a 12.5lb mirror about an hour later. Definately going back for a week this coming spring.
